DREO vs. Paris Rhone Space Heater Comparison

All right I’ve got a couple of space heaters to review for you today. If you’ve been shopping you know that there are dozens to choose from and I shopped very carefully looking at reviews looking at the features the two that I’ve got here I’m going to give a solid thumbs up for the DREO and uh you can see that they are very similarly shaped the boxes were nearly identical on arrival I had decided on the Paris Rhone initially. They’re both similarly priced in the 45 to 50 range feature for feature they seem to be nearly identical the upon arrival out of the box the Paris Rhone seemed to be too loud just controlling the buttons on the top the decibels of the fan speed the little difference between high and low I decided to go ahead and try a different model that I had shot and decided initially I would try the Paris Rhone but I’m glad that i got the drill in I’ve got them both right here this one’s going back thankfully they both have free returns very quickly just the two features right off the bat the DREO has the ability to mute the buttons so you can operate it without interference

i did have to find this in the manual kudos for reading your manual if you don’t sometimes you miss these little details when I first made up my plus minus comparison at first I didn’t know that you could actually turn off the beep but the beep on the DREO is quieter from the get-go so even it didn’t have the mute feature the DREO is quieter to operate there are a couple of positives with the Paris Rhone the DREO is quieter to operate the fan is quieter on low mode four fan mode options on the DREO where you only have three on the Paris Rhone the DREO has the ability to go to a low and it drops the fan speed whereas the Paris Rhone did not drop the fan speed on low and then on the ECO mode which the Paris Rhone doesn’t have at all it only has three.

About the only thing that i didn’t like about the DREO is that it does take about 30 seconds to power off if you’ve been heating now both the Paris Rhone and the draw turn off in either 15 or 30 seconds depending on whether

Now if you’re not familiar why these are important, space heaters allow you to heat a small space compared to the overall central heat which is 10,000 watts compared to 1,500 watts so these are basically people to use in a hair dryer so much more economical if you’re trying to run a small space now if you’re trying to heat a large space with a small space heater you might as well go ahead and run the central heat but your central heat is usually running about a 10,000 watt heat strip so compare that to a 40 watt light bulb we’re talking 10,000 watts to run your central heat versus just 1,500 watts for these little space heaters so they’re very useful these two in particular both are thermostat controls compared to just a rotating switch on off so the ability to control based on the temperature is possible both of these right here but with both of them being equally priced the DREO has the wind for the quieter operation the ability to mute completely and let’s take a look at this right here we’re gonna go ahead and turn this on I’ve turned the beep back on on the dry I had turned it off I’ll show you how to do that I had not seen that in the reviews so we’re going to press it on makes one beep the display on the DREO is on the front the display for the temperature on the Paris Rhone is on top and that in itself is a positive for the DREO unless you tend to be looking at the top but if you’re seated at a desk you can see the display of the temperature on the front of the trail now to turn off the beep confirmation on the DREO) in the instruction manual which is it just bothers my mind that these two products are so similar to each other even down to the details and I don’t know who copied who but the DREO if they copied the pairs home they did a better job of it but they I mean even the contents the titles of the sections are very similar so I’m just looking at this right here says no in your heater chapter two and then you go to the Paris Rhone you look at knowing your heater nearly identical but in looking at the review kudos for looking at the instructions because in there you would find that this is where i saw the option by pressing and holding on the mode long press to mute unmute the heater and there’s our beat confirmation the display flashed and now when i press the thermostat controller it does not beep so let’s turn our fan mode to heat and we can change the thermostat without pressing and getting any beat confirmation if somebody’s napping near you that’s going to definitely wake them up if you hear the beat confirmation on the pair’s home now I’ve got this plugged into one outlet we don’t want to run two space heaters on the same outlet so we’re gonna go ahead and power this off and you’ll see that we’ve got a 30 second countdown that does in my opinion make it a little bit of a negative because if you’re hot and also you’ve got to turn that space meter off it does take 30 seconds to basically cool off the coils and shut off the heater once this turns off right here the heat’s already turned off we’ll go ahead and turn on this other one but i want you to hear how much louder the Paris Rhone is

You’re not going to really pick up the difference on the decimal difference on the video but just to change the temperature

and that’s startling i mean even if it was just me in a room by myself trying to change the temperature that would be annoying to myself

so when we power off the Paris Rhone we get a display of 15 seconds and it starts to power off that was the tilt safety feature kicking in right there and so we start to have the display three two one and then it cuts off side by side looking at the positive and negatives about the only positive i found on a equally priced Paris Rhone was the ability to turn it off quicker in both options they dropped to the quieter for the fan speed but the only other positive on the pair’s runners underside was a little easier to carry it has some ridges underneath the handle that allow you to grab the top of it where it’s a little smoother and you might end up putting a little tape underneath that handle so that if you were to carry it you wouldn’t have a tendency but the handle is deeper they both also have the removable air filter on the back that can be cleaned off like we picked up dirt or air pet air dust

Anyway I hope this helps and enjoy your space heater I do recommend the DREO.
