Business recommendations and contact info: Although there are many places to obtain service from, I have personally visited with or dealt with the following and had a positive experience. Please use at your own discretion.

Decorations:  

 

- Complete, Wedding, Reception & Special Event Services. Check out their site to see why "My Wedding Team" is the most recommended vendor in Southeast Texas. They provide one of the area's best decoration services resulting in some of the prettiest receptions shots (like the ones above).  This site is also a great site to consider potential wedding and/or reception locations. 

Food/Catering Services:

  • The Cake Factory. Joyce Dubose. 769-1417. 1212B North Main, Vidor, Tx. 77662.

Equipment Rental:

  • For All Occasions: Weddings, Banquets, Party Rentals. Bret Schaeffer. 892-6644. foralloccasions@aol.com. 5925 Phelan Blvd., Beaumont, Tx 77706.

  • MSC Systems. Located 1195 S Major Dr. 409-866-8845. This is the only place I know of that rents LCD projectors. The rate is $125 for the weekend for a 1100 lumen projector. Many churches have much brighter projectors, like 3000, that are easily visible in a lighted room.

Flowers:

  • Enchanted Bouquet. Samantha Hudson. 866-0633 5955 Phelan Suite N, Beaumont, Tx. 77706

Locations (for photographs and for events):

  • Julie Rogers Theater. 838-3455, Claudie Hawkins. $75 to use facility indoors. No charge to shoot outside.

  • The Neches Room. 409-832-3247, 813-2347, Tonia Rothermel - Director of Catering and Sales. toniarothermel@hotmail.com This site is a BEAUTIFUL location.

  • The Brown Center - A beautiful location all the way around. Accommodations can be made for Bridal Sessions. They do charge $50...but more importantly, they have very limited availability and strict guidelines.

  • Tyrell Park - Although more ideal for engagement photos, bridal photos can also be done here and are very nice. I have also actually photographed an outdoor wedding here with an indoor reception.

  • Interstate Inn(?)- I10 at 11th St. This is the Old Ramada Inn...and is famous for it's beautiful winding staircase in the foyer. Frequently utilized for Bridal Photo Sessions, I have even photographed an entire wedding here....although it was many years ago. Unfortunately, they do charge, I think $25, and it only has the one shot on the stairwell.

  • Our Lady of the Guadalupe - the outdoor structure offers a great photo opportunity.

  • Other suggestions for possible locations for engagement and bridal pictures and/or wedding and reception locations: your church, other churches, River Front Park, Crocket St., private residences (indoors or out), Tuscany Park (courtyard outside Poblano Grill).
